About the Journal

Digital Social Sciences is an international, open access peer reviewed journal which serves as an interdisciplinary forum for examining the complex interaction between digital technology and society. Digital Social Sciences welcomes submissions from all social science disciplines, including but not limited to digital aspects of arts, humanities, sociology, political science, economics, law, gender studies, and communication as they relate to digital issues like algorithmic governance, digital inequalities, social media's impact on democracy, data ethics, digital labor, and online community formation. The journal prioritizes empirically grounded and theoretically robust studies that develop new concepts, theories, or methodologies appropriate for understanding the digital world, and it encourages contributions with an international viewpoint that are relevant to a global academic and professional audience interested in the social, political, and cultural transformations driven by digital technology.
